Alexis Meschter is a versatile and dynamic violinist whose career seamlessly blends symphonic artistry, film scoring, innovative collaborations, and dedicated teaching. Since 2019, he has performed with distinction alongside the Pacific Symphony, bringing expressive depth and technical precision to every performance.
Alexis’s major concert appearances include D23 Legends with John Williams at the Honda Center in Anaheim, “Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth” Live-to-Picture at the Shrine Auditorium, “NieR” Live-to-Picture at the Peacock Theatre, and CinemaCon at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
A frequent presence at summer music festivals, Alexis has appeared at the Peninsula Music Festival (2025), Festival Mozaic (2022 and 2024), Festival Napa Valley (2025), and Celtic to Classical in Southern Delaware. At Celtic to Classical, he presented mixed-genre live concerts that blend classical masterwork movements with Celtic, bluegrass, New Age, and folk styles.
Beyond the concert stage, Alexis is a sought-after recording artist for major film studios including Sony, Warner Brothers, and Fox. He can be heard on the scores of major films, as well as hit television series.
Alexis started his professional symphony career with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and served as concertmaster for the Central City Opera Orchestra. Since moving to California, he has expanded into creative ventures on both orchestral and more personal scales. For two years, Alexis led the South Coast Symphony as their concertmaster, appearing in solo recitals, and a notable performance of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. He founded the genre-busting Project MainStream YouTube channel and engaged the community with the Creative Access Program and the Yellow Barn Music Haul initiative to bring music to underserved audiences.
A committed educator, Alexis has guided students who have earned placements at prestigious universities and conservatories such as Stanford, USC, UCLA, Eastman, and the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. His students have garnered local and national competition awards. He serves as adjunct faculty at Concordia University Irvine and maintains a private studio in Irvine, where he fosters the next generation of musicians through personalized mentorship and rigorous training.
Alexis studied under the esteemed violinist Victor Danchenko while attending the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and The Glenn Gould School at The Royal Conservatory of Music. His dynamic career is marked by musical excellence, innovative programming, and a heartfelt dedication to connection.
